Notes to entry
Note 1 to entry: Traditional AI is a loose historical contrast, not a single technical category or the name of one standardised method. Some established approaches learn patterns from data rather than follow rules specified by a programmer. They can make predictions or recommendations that require human scrutiny.
Note 2 to entry: AidGPT's Session 1 comparison is specifically between rule-based automation and generative AI. It does not imply that every non-generative AI system follows fixed rules or that generative AI alone makes consequential choices.
Note 3 to entry: A system can combine rule-based components, predictive models and generative models. Describe the component and task when the difference matters.
