Notes to entry
Note 1 to entry: SAFE AI places a decision gate at each of its four lifecycle stages. The gate tests evidence, humanitarian principles, risk and safeguards. A decision may be conditional or require redesign or refusal.
Note 2 to entry: Record who decided, the basis, conditions and date. An impact assessment informs the gate; a transparency card records the result. Neither gives approval by itself.
